Polish mobility

Utworzono dnia 25.05.2023

08. - 12.05, second week of May. Someone will think: just a date... But not for the SP13 community... In those days we hosted a group of 36 people - our project partners from Turkey, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Romania, with whom we have been working for over two years we are implementing the Erasmus+ project 'SPOT and Stop Emotional School Dropout'. We were waiting for this moment with great impatience, it should be mentioned here that it was the last joint meeting, so there was a huge excitement and intense preparations. And so, on Sunday, May 7, a group of 7 young people from Primary School No. 13 together with their teachers- project coordinators: Anna Śledziowska and Jolanta Wiśniewska set off to Warsaw to welcome the project partners and to take part in the activities planned for that day. We started with short ice breakers and the city game turned out to be not only an opportunity to get to know the attractions of our capital, but also to communicate in English and broadly understood integration, and the panorama of Warsaw from the 30th floor of the Palace of Culture and Science caused the WOW effect!

On Tuesday, our guests visited the walls of our school, which was colorful and beautifully decorated. After a ceremonial welcome, with the participation of the deputy mayor of the city Mr Marcin Gołębiowski, it was time for the tasks prepared by the project group. After that there was a trip to the Museum of Nature and Technology in Starachowice where we took part in ceramic workshops, we learned about the process of firing iron during the tour of the museum, and at the end of the day we enjoyed the warmth of the bonfire and the taste of sausages.

A trip to Krakow in the middle of the stay provided many impressions, both cultural and interpersonal. In addition, the weather was good, so Krakow presented itself in all its glory: the Wawel Dragon breathed fire, the Wawel Castle dignified revealed its secrets, and the City Museum in the Market Square revealed the secrets of life in the medieval city of Krakow...

On the forth day there were sports attractions like 3x3 basketball and karate show, but also the summary of the project took place. There was certificates ceremony and planting a tree of gratitude with hanging and the previously prepared gratitude leaves... We hope that thanks to this, other students, as well as the local community will remember this event, especially when the trees rustle... The trees also accompanied the afternoon trip to the Holy Cross. We were lucky, because the weather was wonderful throughout the stay of our guests, so the panorama of our region stretched from Gołoborze, some even saw our school ...;) The culmination of the fourth day of mobility was also singing the anthem of our project in all our languages partners and in English. The joy of the students was great, and the teachers were bursting with pride!

The last day was also full of surprises - the Friday morning visit to the City Hall and the integration games with Youth Council, Wąchock monastery and Lubianka reservoir... The last meeting in the building of our school, a farewell dinner and a party in a truly European style turned out to be the icing on the cake. With the sounds of music from our partners' countries, time passed very fast and it was time to say goodbye, unfortunately... It was hard to say goodbye, but the hope remains that the experiences gained and the friendships made will last... Everyone agrees: Erasmus+ gives us wings...
So we say: See you someday... somewhere...!
