Utworzono dnia 29.03.2023

OUR JOURNEY TO TÂRGU FRUMOS, ROMANIA
By one of the Polish students whom had gone to Targu Frumos in December of 2022

Sunday, 11.12.2022 - The first day was all about travelling, it was exhausting! After landing in Bucharest, We ate some quite expensive Italian style sandwiches and then took a 5 hour long ride to our destination.

Monday, 12.12 - We went to the towns hall where the mayor gave us a speech about welcoming our almost entire project group, and afterwards a history teacher from the school told us about the history of Târgu frumos. Moments later, we headed to the school and had some integrational activities and watched a skit made by Romanian students about courtesy. At the end of the day, We visited the Miclauseni Castle and whilst waiting for the bus, we had a snowball fight!

Tuesday, 13.12 - This is the day we had a guided trip and a one day stay at the scenic area of Romania - Bucovina. We visited many places such as; The Marginea Ceramics, Ciumarna Village, and the Painted Egg Museum that has the biggest collection of various decorated eggs. Also we took a slow train from Hutulca to Moldovita. After hours of exploring the wonders of Bucovina, we arrived at the hotel and threw a party, and took part in the international dance challenge. Afterwards, we had a campfire. Also there was  a big orange cat outside the restaurant and I just couldn't resist petting him!

Wednesday, 14.12 - We started the day with courtesy quizzes and baking gingerbread cookies and by visiting Santa Claus. Then, we checked out of the hotel. While on our way to Târgu Frumos, we stopped over to do a glass painting activity. Beforehand the host of it let us know a bit about Bucovina's traditional clothing and the tradition of glass painting, and in the evening, we went to the restaurant and had some pizza.

Thursday, 15.12 - This day is a very important one, first we learnt a bit about the Cucuteni-Trypillia culture and had some activites surrounding it and after that, we presented our courtesy hats and hung up the baubles we made previously on the school's tree. Then in evening we were awarded certificates and once again - had a party!

Friday, 16.12 - For the last day of the mobility [but not for us yet] we set off to Iași and explored the historical parts of the town such as; the University of Iași, Palace of Culture, Metropolitan and Catholic Cathedral, National Theatre, and the Braunstein Palace. After a long break in the mall, unfortunately we had to say our goodbyes to other teams of the mobility. Since we were the remaining team staying a night in Romania, we were invited to one of the teachers house and  had a traditional Romanian dinner.

Saturday, 17.12 - We set off to Bucharest for our flight back to Poland. It was also exhausting since it was a long ride back home.....
